3 AM

Standard

a maiden morning ray

is all what it takes

hush a heart, writhing

woeful and ashamed

now that I am up, agonized

life treads, turns up gray

night snarls at me,

pardoned with eyes awake

blissfully proud and drifted away

in diurnal deeds of forte,

singing songs of merry

of facade, foibles disobeyed

The Noose

Standard

cloistered jars of pickles and sweets

ferment in fury behind the doors ajar,

festooning you with an impulse to peep

the froth and fumes of constricted love

strenuous breaths with sneeze and cough

scent of flowers congests your nostrils,

mouth-breathing the glory of the days gone

you question my mournful mouldering

as if nothing happened…

Freedom in love makes you fall in love with chains and shackles of it, willingly!

Inner Conflict

Standard

demons howl and sprint

bloodbath of pride, enthroned is the shame

sickened to stomach you ride the wolf

of the moon and its yearnings

swing the sword and charge

murder the distaste of headache

cradled between the palms is battled crown

eyes twitch and roll in anguish

be awake if you need to be

heart is clasped in claws of shame concealed

clutch hard your chest and spit the blood

spilling blood of prayers, you never chanted

lie still and stare at the roof

enclosed inside the four walls, the battlefield stiffened

heed your hands and sleep if unarmed

breathe and pretend the ignorance

or else arm yourselves

a hooked knife in left is targeted to chest

a sword in right is pointed to head

do or die as them have said

Decide

Faded

Standard

This heart is an enclosure

A cage forged of yesterday

The toil survived of today

A breath tinned for tomorrow

And an abandoned corner of sorrow

Of a piece given and lost

This entity is an audience

Walks to and fro

Past the echoes of the past

Unheard of deceptive tragedy

Befell on it deaf and dumb

And now a blindfold cast

Of the plays it play

Bland and oblivious

Of the corner

That darts tenebrous demeanor

Across the evocative loud room

Forbidden to radiate through

Must not touch the healing surface

Yet it stays, formidable to falter

Screams of the shattered

Ignored or perhaps adapted

But never forgotten!

Did you just say you moved on?

Wonder again

The breaths you take

In faraway land

In wait of love to hit again

And you emanate into the same air

Which they inhale

Ruthlessly

Tide of time fails to wash away the imprints they left

But may fade
